Notes

How I like to build.

A short list of principles I use to decide what to make and how to make it.

Principles

  1. 1

Make it work before making it big

A small thing that works is worth more than a large plan. I would rather publish something modest and improve it.

  2. 2

    Every control does something

If a button is on the page, it works. If a feature is not built, the page says so instead of pretending.

  3. 3

    Say what is finished

Projects are labelled as available or as ideas. Nobody should have to guess.

  4. 4

    Keep data where it belongs

Experiments that need no account stay in your browser. Things that do need an account say exactly what they store.

  5. 5

    Fewer parts, fewer surprises

I avoid trackers, extra scripts and unneeded dependencies. Less code means less to break and less to protect.

  6. 6

    Write like a person

Plain sentences, first person, no slogans.

Writing

There are no articles yet. When I publish one, it will appear here with its real date.
